Snow

AS YOU may have heard, Bri­tain is exper­i­en­cing a bit of a winter this year. Freez­ing tem­per­at­ures, lots of snow and all kinds of clos­ures have made for a miser­able start to 2010. The lucky, lucky bas­tards - it’s in the eighties here. Any­way, after much nag­ging the par­ents have sent over some pho­tos of the snow around their place.

Ev grew up around here

SO WHEN I asked her if the Korean Friend­ship Bell is in Friend­ship Park in San Pedro and she said yes, I was hardly going to argue, was I?

On the way I stopped to take this pan­or­ama (click for the much big­ger ver­sion):

Of course now I wish I had argued as the bell’s actu­ally in Lookout Point Park, but I found my way there even­tu­ally with the help of my phone’s GPS and inter­net con­nec­tion. And while hik­ing up and down the slopes of Friend­ship Park for 30 minutes I man­aged to get some decent pics:
