Two years to the big four-oh

WHEN I look at the little boo­boo on the left, not only am I over­whelmed with how amaz­ingly cute I was, I’m also blown away by the fact that I’m going to be 40 in two years. Yes, today I turned 38. I spent three hours of my birth­day in the dentist’s chair hav­ing two crowns fit­ted, a few more asleep at home and now I’m awake and wait­ing for Ev to get home so we can go out to din­ner. I think I’m get­ting old.

Tilt-shift photography: Attempt 1

I MADE it to the roof of the office this after­noon to get some pho­tos for my attempt at mak­ing some tilt-shift pics. Luck­ily the build­ing isn’t all that far from the junc­tion of Wilson and Brand, which is a) very busy and b) the site of some of Glendale’s finest car crashes. Using my Sigma 18-50mm lens I snapped the first shot:
