Diners: Berth 55 Seafood Deli

YOU’D have to go out of your way to come across Berth 55 by accident. Hidden away among the docks and cranes of the Port of Long Beach, we only found out about it through a friend of Ev’s. So we had to go check it out.

It’s pretty basic and the dining area is a bunch of plastic benches overlooking a dock but there’s loads of fresh seafood on offer at pretty good prices. WE HEADED south this time, to the almost-a-trailer-park that is Orange County to try the Omelette Parlour in Costa Mesa. Jamie has been singing the praises of this place for ages so when the question of where to go for our weekly brekkies get-together came up she suggested the Omelette Parlour on Saturday so Ev could join us.

Another day, another diner

AND so to brekkies again, this time at the Long Beach Café on Ocean in downtown, er, Long Beach. (A quick note: we came here a month or two ago and I totally forgot to do the update. Duh.)
