IN ANOTHER one of those instances where I just want a comet to hit this mis­be­got­ten planet and take us all out once and for all, the Michigan state sen­ate has passed a bill that effect­ively gives schoolkids carte blanche to bully gay class­mates as long as - wait for it - they can provide a moral or reli­gious reason for the bul­ly­ing. In other words, you can now safely kick the shit out of a gay kid, quote Levit­i­cus 20:13, and get away with it.
